The brief interaction between Kat and Jacob highlights their contrasting approaches to investigation, with Kat’s urgency a refreshing counterpoint to Jacob’s more measured pace. Beyond The Gates benefits from this dynamic, as Kat’s determination adds momentum to storylines that might otherwise drag.
