Well, y’all, we’ve made it to the end of another season of Carl Weber’s “The Family Business”. Season 5, Episode 10, aptly titled “All is Fair in Love and War”, has been a roller coaster of emotions, from Junior’s irrational decisions to Sonya’s surprising choices. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Let’s break this down, shall we?

Junior’s Emotional Roller coaster

Junior Duncan, our resident hot mess, has been making some wild decisions this season. His emotional recklessness has been a constant source of frustration for me. I mean, you abandon your wife, Sonya, only to come running back when she’s pregnant with your child? That’s not love, Junior, that’s ego. And the worst part? Sonya, who I’ve been rooting for all season, just goes along with it. I’m just left here, shaking my head, wondering why she would willingly sit by his side as he continues to make one disastrous decision after another.

Sonya’s Disappointing Choices

Speaking of Sonya, I’ve got to say, I’m disappointed in her. After watching Junior’s erratic behavior, she should know better than to blindly follow him into this mess. I mean, why not establish something separate from both LC and Chippy and Donna? Instead, she chooses to sit by Junior’s side at the Alliance table, listening to all the dangerous plans unfold. It’s like watching Sonya fall into a trap, and it’s heartbreaking.

The Alliance’s Foolish Decisions

And let’s talk about this Alliance. Inviting a racist senator who openly declared it was open season on your brothers to sit at the table? That’s not just stupid, it’s suicidal. Antonio Dash is clearly using Junior to get to LC, and the moment he doesn’t need Junior anymore, he’ll discard him. And Sonya, by extension. They’re playing a dangerous game here, and I can’t help but fear for their futures.

Clumsy Plot Points

I’ve got to be honest, though, some of the plot points in this episode felt clumsy. There were scenes that felt like filler, moments that didn’t feel organic or authentic. For instance, the whole Roman chase scene felt forced and unrealistic. And then there’s the sudden reveal that Bobby the Beast is Niles’ cousin, which felt like it came out of nowhere.

Unanswered Questions and Future Predictions

Despite my criticisms, I can’t deny that this season left us with plenty of unanswered questions and potential plot points for the next season. Will Junior and Sonya survive the dangerous game they’re playing? Will the Alliance’s foolish decisions lead to their downfall? Will LC and Chippy finally confront Junior and Donna? Only time will tell.
