Beyonce has been doing an impeccable job of keeping her bundle of joy, Blue Ivy, under wraps (pun intended). Since the release of BIC first baby pics thru HelloBlueIvyCarter.tumblr.com we have not been able to see the slightest smirk or sad face from the baby. Excluding a few date nights, Blue Ivy hasn’t been away from mommy at all and while out in New York she is always covered. With the pending relocation of the Carter’s I am not sure if we will ever get any PAP pics of Blue, well at least within her first year. The Carters are allegedly moving to London which is known to be alot more strict on the PAPs, prior to Jay-Z starting the European leg of the “Throne Tour”.

Pop Culture based coursework is popping up all over college campuses lately and personally I think its a long time coming. Many of the celebrities these days have becoming branding magnets and definitely something to stuy when considering a career in business. I am waiting on someone to come up with a Kardashian course.
According to the creator of the class, Jeremy McCune:
“The goal of this course is to look at the repertoire and work of these folks … and figure out how it is that we can have a discussion about these women as spectacular. The invention of the Internet and the web has created a circulation of these courses and their syllabi in a way that makes them — once again — spectacular, and they’ve become spectacles. I think that it’s important that education stay both fun, critical and political. This trio of women seem to be entering into a historic moment where we’re seeing much more experimental performances. Much more abstraction, much more play with gender, and we’re also seeing some moments where there are clear articulations of a feminist theory within the work.”

Saturday Night, February 25, 2012, I was able to catch up with Reality TV Star and Author Tionna Smalls while her nationwide book tour made a stop in Baltimore, Md at Salon Blush. I was able to purchase a copy of Tionna’s new book “Men Love Abuse” and have her spill the TEA on her thoughts about the industry, women in relationships and even trending celebs like Chris Brown, Rihanna, Beyonce and Jay-Z.

Tionna: My new book, men love abuse is a fabulous book from my new pocketbook series and its just a book that is straight up raw and real. And what we discuss is not allowing a man to take advantage of you. Men Love Abuse is not about smacking no one or not about kicking no one down steps because I don;t want you to get your ass whooped listening to my book. Its about letting a man know your a challenge and letting a man know you don’t need him. [...]

Tionna: Chris Brown and Rihanna are like my little nieces and nephews. They are like kids trying to find their way in the world and their like “We are not gonna let the media take our love away, Fuck Dat”. And I feel like I understand what they are trying to do I just want them to be mindful of their careers be mindful of the message your putting out. If you wanna go bang each other on the low by all means do what you gotta do. But the next time he whips your ass don;t call the cops. We don;t wanna know about it cause we are not going to care. However Rihanna gotta keep her hands to herself. I believe she only forgave him because she knows she manipulated alot of that situation. [...] Well in the hood if you smack a man he is going to whip your ass. I can only speak from my experience of life and being in the hood. I have watched chicks that smacked dudes up and punched them in the face and after a while they got two piece and a biscuit. Its the way life goes.
