The old once again became the new –the true nature of the fashion cycle –in Christian Dior’s Resort ’13 collection. The basis of the designs of Bill Gaytten (his last for Dior) was the iconic ‘bar’ silhouette, where focus is placed on waist and hips –icon of Dior’s 1947 New Look. By borrowing from the old and adding a few modern twists, the collection could very well become part of a modern wardrobe.
