Lil Wayne To Start Sports Agency

Lil Wayne is reportedly following in JayZ’s footsteps and expanding his Young Money Entertainment empire to the sports world.

According to TMZ, Lil Wayne is starting up his own sports management company, with Portugal and Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo to become his first client.

TMZ stated,

We’re told Weezy’s company will be working with PolarisSports — which is affiliated with the CAA agency and GestiFute — through which Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendez operates.

Our sources tell us Wayne’s company will handle Ronaldo’s sports managament affairs in the United States – everything from branding to marketing and endorsement deals. Even modeling.

As Bleacher Report revealed, this news came not long after Ronaldo tweedted a picture of himself and dozens of others holding up the Young Money / Cash Money sign.

Highlighting this developing story, is that in December, Forbes’ Darren Heitner reported that Cash Money Records filed a trademark application for “Visionaire Sports Group.”

Lil Wayne is definitely starting out strong with the partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo.

His money could be used for much worse things. Why not?
