Rapper Kendrick Lemar nearly shut DOWN Twitter last night after his new verse on Big Sean‘s new track, “Control,” ft. Jay ElectronicaSo what’s all the fuss about? For starters, the West Coast MC dubbed himself “King of New York” ( and, of course, of the West coast) and then proceeded to name drop some of the biggest names in the rap game today! Check out his verse:

I’m Makaveli’s offspring, I’m the king of New York/King of the Coast, one hand, I juggle them both

I heard the barbershops spittin’ great debates all the time Bout who’s the best MC?/Kendrick, Jigga and Nas, Eminem, Andre 3000, the rest of y’all/New n—-s just new n—-s, don’t get involved/And I ain’t rockin no more designer s–t/White T’s and Nike Cortez, this is red Corvettes anonymous. I’m usually homeboys with the same n—-s i’m rhymin with/ But this is hip-hop and them n—-s should know what time it is/ And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale/ Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake/ Big Sean, Jay Electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller/ I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you n—-s/ Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n—-s/ They don’t wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you n—as,” the Black Hippy MC rapped with an extra grit to his already gravelly voice.

Many people on Twitter reacted when he fired shots at these big name rappers, but soon everybody realized that K. Dot is simply challenging rappers to step up their game! (In other words, it was actually an insult NOT to be mentioned on her verse!)
