Justin and Selena Find Faith and Each Other… Again

A couple who prays together, stays together.

At least that’s what Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are hoping after attending The City Church in LA Wednesday. The on-again-off-again romantic duo listened to a sermon from Pastor Judah Smith, one of the nation’s most popular Christian speakers.

A source close to the couple confirmed their relationship two days later, saying their feelings for each other still haven’t gone away, and they are trying to take a step in the right direction. But this doesn’t come as much of a surprise considering how many times the pair has been spotted together lately.

Young love. Gotta love it.

But the buzz now is about Bieber’s decisions when it comes to religion.

Smith has mentored both Bieber and Gomez over the years along with Hillsong NYC Pastor Carl Lentz, who shares a close bond with the Canadian singer. The two men of God have continually poured into the lives of the two young celebrities, so when Bieber made a special request, they followed through.

Last month, Lentz baptized the Biebs in a friend’s bathtub privately in NYC. Since then, the racist comments Justin made have surfaced, but the situation happened before the “Baby” singer made the decision to confirm his beliefs.

And though Lentz has voiced his support for Bieber, he doesn’t approve of the 20-year-old’s choices. He said, “People who are like, ‘Is he even a Christian?’ With Justin, I tell people grace and acceptance does not mean approval. I can accept you as a human being and not approve of your actions. That’s how we’ve been loved. We love because we were first loved.”

Gomez has been outspoken about her own Christian beliefs as well, so she’s probably proud of her man for backing up what he’s been preaching for years.

But Christianity is about a relationship with God rather than salvation based on good works. And while everyone makes mistakes, Bieber is just as happy to accept forgiveness through grace like the rest of us.

So maybe this is a new Justin Bieber? Either way, congrats, Jelena. #TeamVain wishes you well!

If they’re happy that’s great, but I get the best friends though this all vibe from them.

I have mixed feelings about them as a couple, but they both seem to be really happy whenever they do actually get together.
