Melo’s Noticeable Weight Loss: Carmelo Anthony’s Weight Loss in the Off-Season 

Last week, Carmelo Anthony posted a photo on his Instagram in which he looked significantly thinner compared to the end of last season.

According to an Anthony confidant, Anthony has been losing weight in order to resemble his physique as a rookie with the Nuggets and to be more viable in Phil Jackson’s triangle offense.

Anthony was listed at 230 pounds in 2013 as a Denver rookie and with this picture it appears that he close to that weight again.


Anthony has allegedly been working out three times a day, doing basketball drills, agility drills, weights and yoga. In terms of his diet, Anthony has been sticking to a mostly no-carb meal plan.

Anthony was notably less productive in the  fourth quarter last season, so hopefully with the help of players and his better fitness, he will less fatigued in the final minutes.
