Bleu + Bombshell Magazine Celebrate the Release of Marsha Ambrosius ‘Friends + Lovers’
Last week I had the honor of celebrating Marsha Ambrosius new ablum “Lovers + Friends” release with Bombshell Magazine and amazing media industry folks + friends. Spirits were provided by Myx Fusions and we dined at Lenox Sapphire. The food was amazing (kudos on my grilled salmon dish) but I must say that the Myx Fusion Moscato was even better. Sadly this was my first time trying Nicki Minaj’s newest portfolio nestegg even though for the last year or so all of my friends have been apart of consuming the relentless #GetInTheMyx campaign.
Honestly, I was in no rush to try it because usually with highly marketed products you are let down by quality, taste, consistency or something. I will officially say that I am hooked. Myx is light, crisp and perfect for a sociable night in which you don’t want to be hammered or suffering from a hangover. But this post is not about the drinks! Its about the awesome, inspiring, talented, and real Marsha Ambrosius.
Marsha, formerly one half of R&B super group Floetry, released her second album last week titled “Friends + Lovers”. At the dinner Marsha describe the album as an ode to both with a real accounts on the ups and downs in relationships. With song titles like “69” you can definitely see that Marsha went there lyrically and conceptually!
The album is 14 songs in length, with notable features from Dr. Dre and Charlie Wilson, as well as Da Internz, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, and more on the production side.
Shout out to the other media folk in the building Kyle Harvey(The Grio), Gary Gentles (SingersRoom.com), Dan
